About Us image

July 1, 2023

Greetings Lyons Mill Family,

We are in the planning stages for the 2023-2024 school year!

Look for more updates from the PTA soon, but mark your calendars now, we will meet monthly beginning in September, on the 2nd Tuesday of each month (6:30-7:30).  We are planning both in person and virtual meeting options, more to come as we get closer!

PTA will only be successful with the active support of our families, parents, grandparents, guardians, faculty, staff and community...Registration will open soon!

We will share our 2023-2024 focus areas soon!  Last year our focus areas were as follows:

1) Active Membership:  there are plenty of ways to become involved and/or lend your talents

2) Teacher/staff support + engagement

3) Student Support & Advocacy as we transition 'back to normal'

4) Creating a LMES Community via Family engagement +  Community Involvement

If there are any questions, suggestions or concerns please feel free to contact us at lyonsmillpta@gmail.com.

Looking forward to meeting you all soon,

Sheena Ogee

2023-2025 PTA President

*LMES PTA is not affiliated with or profiting from any of the organizations or companies listed on this page.

How much does it cost to join?

The cost to join the PTA is $10 per person (not per child).  Membership dues must be paid each school year.   There is a service fee if you pay online.

Why is there a cost for membership?

Membership dues are used to provide services, resources and training for our national, state and local PTA.  Monies gained from membership dues and fundraisers allow us to support our school community in many ways including but not limited to: funding visual arts assemblies, supporting before/after school clubs, hosting events and showing our gratitude for school staff on designated staff appreciation days.

How can I become a member?

Information regarding membership will be available soon.  Be sure to check out our "Membership" page for membership forms and payment information.

Do I have to volunteer if I become a member?

LME PTA loves our volunteers and could always use a helping hand, however, members are not required to volunteer.
